Udev + Hal and 2.6.22 kernels
05 July 2007I had problems that my udev/hal doesnt mount my DVD automaticaly with latest 2.6.22-rcX kernel. It also didnt knowed that my DVD is possible to burd DVDs.
I found that HAL just dont see capabilities of the drive throw /proc file system.
So for all who run in to this problem, just reconfigure your kernel with enabled:
CONFIG_IDE_PROC_FS=y
CONFIG_SCSI_PROC_FS=y
